Hills - meaning behind this is the landscape of Melbourne with artist interpretation of the Stars logo in the background. The meanings are about the story of Sky Country and what that means for the Wurundjeri mob, with the Stars logo overlooking Melbourne’s landscape as the town’s favourite team!

Stars - different size and coloured stars on the sleeves represent the team and their families, tying in with the Stars family and the sky country narrative. 

MCG - The back of the design features our artist’s interpretation of the MCG with Scott Boland’s cap number in the middle! This is an opportunity to showcase Scott Boland and what he means to indigenous people, as well as the domination he has shown at the ‘G.

About the artist

Alex Kerr is a proud Wurundjeri man born and raised in Melbourne. He grew up immersed in his ancestors' stories, traditions, and customs where Alex developed a profound appreciation for culture, which continues to inspire his artistic journey today. Alex's family's legacy has shaped his understanding of identity and place, influencing his approach to cultural design and storytelling through art.
